Target Steals & Deals

So I made a quick trip to Target yesterday to check out the clearance section. To my disappointment I only saw clearance clothes in the juniors section, but I did manage to find a few other great deals.

I paid $30.71 for:

• 50 LBS (10 bags) of Gold Medal, unbleached all purpose flour clearance price $0.98/ea
• 2 Buddies soap bars $0.97/ea (used 2 $1 Johnson & Johnson coupons)
• 1 Jumbo pack of Huggies diaper wipes (216 wipes) $5.99 (used $1.50 Target coupon & $1 Huggies coupon)
• 1 case of Pampers cruisers, size 3 (96 diapers) clearance price $25.48, outside box was damaged (used $1 Target coupon & $2 Pampers coupon)
• Also used $5 gift card that I earned a couple weeks ago during a diaper promotion

So this wasn't the best deal in the world, but far better than what I would normally pay. I personally thought the flour was the best deal. The cheapest I was able to get it previously was around last Thanksgiving at $1.50 a bag without coupon or $1.00 a bag if I had a printable coupon. I only picked up 10 - 5LB bags (they had much more) because we are going to be moving soon since my husband is in the military & we have a weight limit on how much we are allowed for the move.   :-(

More Savings at The Limited

Guess what arrived in my mail yesterday?  A savings card from The Limited.  Just like the printable coupon that came out last week, this card offers $15 a $15 or more purchase; however, this one is valid from February 1st to March 3rd.  It looks like I might score some awesome deals on clothes over the next month and half if I play my cards right!

Great Deal at the Limited

If you ever read my blog in the past, you will know that I loved getting a good clothing deal. Well the Limited is offering a printable coupon for $15 off your $15 or more purchase! When you first look at the coupon you will notice it states $50 off $150 purchase or more and you might be thinking, "Geez, that's not such a good deal." It's only when you go on to read the details that you will notice you can receive the $15 any purchase of $15 or more.

Now, there is one catch; the coupon cannot be used towards the purchase of sale items or accessories, which greatly limits what you can purchase in the store. I know from personal experience that there are very few full priced items below $30 at The Limited. However, I'm hear to tell you my friends a little secret I learned a couple years ago. Promotional prices are not included as sale items! This means if you wait until there is a promotion running to use your coupon, you will be able to get an excellent deal.

In the past, I have used coupons like this one that were mailed to me to get a large assortment of top quality clothes. I used numerous coupons during 40% off events that enabled me to get beautiful tops and pants for as low as $1.50!!!

The coupon is valid from now through February 3rd, so you will have plenty of time to watch for those promotions. I'll keep you posted if I see any that are good enough for me to take the baby to the mall.

Ann Taylor Loft Sale

Right now Ann Taylor Loft is having a huge sale; take an extra 50% ALL SALES items!!!  This sale is only valid in stores & I'm not sure how long it will last for, but if you need some clothes or want to shop for an upcoming season, now could be a great time to stock up.  Some of their clothes get heavily discounted once they reach the final sale mark & with an extra 50% off you could easily walk away a couple hundred of dollars worth of clothes for less than $25.

Target Steals & Deals

This week there are awesome deals on baby stuff at Target. Not only is there baby items on clearance for at much as 75% off, but there is also a special on diapers and formula as well. (Also, I found these 3M Command Hooks clearanced for 75% off and here is a printable coupon for $1 off).  Right now, if you buy 3 jumbo packs of select Huggies or Pampers diapers or training pants for $8.99 you will receive a $5 Target gift card. Thrifty Thursday

These are my recent thrift finds and I was able to get all 3 pieces of brand new, name brand clothing for only $17.48. I thought this was an excellent deal because the original price for these items was about $120 and I know that these clothes will last me for many years to come. So how might you ask was I able to get these great items for such a low price? Simple, bargain shopping.

First, I went to The Limited and used my $15 off any $15 purchase card. Since I couldn't use the card on clearance items I searched the store for the lowest priced promotional item. I found several shirts that were normally $34-$44 being offered for the promotional price of $19.50. This is how I was able to buy the sweater vest for $4.50 and let me tell you the sweater feels fabulous!

Next, I went to Ross to look for around for some artwork. I have never looked at the clothes there, but decided to check them out & see what I could find. After searching for a few minutes for my size, I was able to find a brand new pair of dress/work pants by The Limited and a dressy/work top by New York & Co. The pants were only $6.99 (normally priced $48-$58) and the top was $5.99 (retail $36.00). I was very pleased with these two items, though I will admit it did take some time to go through the racks to find items that I thought were good quality and a bargain.

All in all I am very pleased with my new finds, though I probably won't wear these items until the winter. I often shop out of season so that I can get items on a discount. This not only saves money, but gives me an incentive to stay my current size so that the clothes will still fit come next season.

The Limited

If you haven't signed up for e-mails & promotional mail from The Limited by now you should. Once again, I have received another one of the special savings card in the mail. As usual, the card says $50 off $150 or $30 off $100 or $15 off $15. These cards really are too good to be true. In fact I just used my last card that I was mailed about two weeks ago & was able to buy some dressy capri pants that were on promotion for $19.50 (normally $39.50) for only $4.50 after using the savings card. This new card isn't valid until Aug 4, but I can't wait.
