Upgraded coupon organization system

I have finally decided to upgrade my coupon organization system. I had been using a coupon file folder for the past 4 years or so as shown here.
Photobucket This file folder definitely got me through the initial stages of couponing and saving money at the grocery store. It was a good little system; however, now I have progressed to the "mack daddy" of coupon storage. I have chosen to store my coupons in a binder, inside trading card protectors like so Photobucket. I put two coupons in each slot, one facing forwards and one backwards to optimize use of each page. One each page I also leave one slot empty for new coupons and every few pages I leave one whole side of a page empty.

At first, I had thought, "Oh, how embarrassing it will be when I'm in the store and everyone is staring at my notebook," but then I remembered what Dave Ramsey says, "Don't be like everyone else, be weird." I don't want to be like those people wondering what my notebook of coupons is because I will be saving more money than them and will be happy doing it.

For me, I think this will be the best solution to my growing coupon stack. I had considered using a large index card box, as many other people do, but I have so many coupons that I feel if I use that storage option I will right back to where I was before....having to pull out wads of coupons from a slot & thumbing through them. I like the idea of being able to quickly browse through my notebook pages and seeing what coupons I have & when they expire.

Remember though, my solution may not work for everyone. You should use a system that works for you & if you are just starting out a plastic coupon file folder may be perfect for you. In fact, after talking to one of my sisters, I found out she is in dire need of a coupon organizer. I decided that I will mail her my old organizer to start her on her journey of coupon saving. So sis, if are reading, this check the mail for a package & I hope it helps you.
